After having TMJ for years and wearing a nightguard for months, things were good. Now in my 70's I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I tried a Bi-PAP machine for over 6 months (hated it but wanted to stay healthy). My husband had an oral appliance fabricated by Dr. Dzuban which he is currently wearing and is working great for him for his sleep apnea. After the recall of my machine I made an appointment with Dr. Dzuban to try the oral appliance route. It has been the answer for me! I have been wearing it for a few months with great success! Dr. Dave had advanced it slowly so as not to affect my TMJ. I would recommend a dental device for anyone who suffers from sleep apnea.
After consulting with Dr. Dzuban regarding my sleep apnea, he fitted me for the mouthpiece and asked me to try it. Not only did I immediately find myself better rested and waking up easier, my wife also was appreciative of the steps I took to correct the issue. She is sleeping more soundly as I am no longer snoring!! I would highly recommend speaking with Dr. Dzuban about treatment for your sleep apnea if you and your bed mate want better rest!! It is simple and painless, and it isn't a CPAP machine.
I am very pleased with my experience with Sound Sleep Pittsburgh treating my sleep apnea. The process was explained thoroughly and the device is easy to use and very effective.
I put off being evaluated for sleep apnea for years because I didn't want to wear a large headgear device to sleep. Oral appliance therapy through Sound Sleep Pittsburgh has changed my life! I didn't realize what it felt like to get a truly restful night of sleep! I have more energy and I am not tired all of the time. My wife sleeps better also since I do not snore anymore! I would recommend an evaluation by Dr. David Dzuban to anyone struggling with their sleep. I am a true believer in Sound Sleep Pittsburgh!
I am a dental patient who needed to wear a CPAP machine at night to stop my snoring. I am also a stomach sleeper and an asthma sufferer. I did not like the idea of wearing the obstructive mask on my face so I never ordered one even though my cardiologist recommended I wear one based on my sleep study results. Dr. Dave had an informational brochure on a mouth device that could take the place of the CPAP machine. I asked for information and did the sleep study and decided to give it a try. I received my appliance and I have worn it every night since. My husband says that my McCullough ChainSaw snoring has stopped. Wohoo.
